This Privacy Policy explains how RepCoach ("RepCoach", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the RepCoach mobile application (the "App") and repcoach.works (the "Website"). RepCoach is designed to work offline-first: there is no account, no sign-up, and no login required to use the App.
RepCoach does not require you to create an account to use the App, and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address. We do not access your contacts, photos, or location.
By default, the following data is stored locally in the App's on-device database and is never transmitted to RepCoach's servers or any third party:
Uninstalling the App permanently deletes this data from your device, unless you have enabled the optional Cloud Backup feature described in Section 3. If Cloud Backup is off, we have no copy of this data and cannot recover it on your behalf.
To operate reliably and support subscriptions, the App uses the following third-party services. Each processes a limited set of information as described below.

If you redeem a coupon, a randomly generated anonymous device identifier and the redemption timestamp are stored so the code cannot be reused beyond its intended limit. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information. |
| Cloud Firestore (Cloud Backup) | Used for the optional Cloud Backup feature, available to REPCOACH Pro subscribers. If you turn on Cloud Backup in Settings and tap "Back Up Now," your workouts, programs, workout history, exercise logs, and personal records are uploaded so they can be restored on a new device. This data is stored under a randomly generated subscription identifier, not your name or email, and is never shared with any third party. See Section 11 to disable Cloud Backup or request deletion of a backup. |
If you start a free trial or purchase a subscription, RevenueCat processes your purchase and entitlement status on our behalf, based on receipt data provided by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To do this, the App shares an app-generated random identifier (not your name, email, or device hardware ID) together with your purchase and subscription history with RevenueCat. RepCoach does not receive or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
RepCoach uses Grovs to support deep links (for example, opening a shared workout or promo link directly in the App) and to measure which marketing channel led to an install. Grovs receives the same app-generated random identifier described above (not your name, email, or persistent device ID) along with campaign and referral information such as which link was tapped. As a deep-linking and attribution provider, Grovs' own SDK may also independently process standard install-referrer and device-signal data as part of its service; see Grovs' privacy policy for details.
If you consent through the Website's analytics prompt, we use Google Analytics to measure aggregate Website activity, such as page views and which App Store or Google Play download button was selected. The Website sends the selected store and button location, not your workout data or a Website account identifier. Analytics is optional and you can decline it without affecting access to the Website.
RepCoach includes an optional "Mirror Mode" feature that shows a live, on-device preview from your front camera during a workout, so you can check your form in real time. This preview is never recorded, saved, or uploaded — no photo or video data leaves your device, and RepCoach and its service providers never receive any camera data. Mirror Mode is off unless you turn it on, and camera access is released whenever you leave the workout screen or background the App.
RepCoach does not use your microphone. The App does not request microphone access at runtime, and no audio is recorded, processed, or transmitted, by RepCoach or any third party.
On iOS, the App's installation bundle still includes a microphone-usage permission string. This is required by Apple because a bundled third-party audio library contains microphone-related code paths, even though RepCoach never invokes them. You will not be prompted for microphone access while using the App.
Workout reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder content or schedule is sent to our servers.
RepCoach does not display third-party advertisements and does not use advertising SDKs or ad-tracking identifiers.
We do not sell your information. We share limited information only with the service providers listed in Section 3, solely to operate the features described above, and only to the extent necessary for them to provide those services.
Our service providers (Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Grovs) may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed in these locations in accordance with each provider's own privacy practices.
RepCoach is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us in a way not intended by this Policy, please contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
